SQL Server 2012 - Columnar and in memory databases

SQL Server 2012 supports Columnar and in memory databases; nowhere as completely as HANA or HARDOOP, but it has led me to ask the following question - It's actually two questions, because I want to distinguish between the two different schema types used...

1) Does / will Netweaver ECC / BS make use of these features, and if so how does this affect data compression on disk, and memory requirements for the DB Server ?

2) Does / will Netweaver BW make use of these features, and if so how does this affect data compression on disk, and memory requirements for the DB Server ?
